Water Repelling Coloured Concrete Sealant
ImperGuard Colour Silicate Stain is a coloured concrete sealant that protects concrete from water ingress, acid rain, erosion, formation of moss, lichens and the appearance of efflorescence or saltpetre. ImperGuard®Color is an impregnation product that will not peel, flake or fade; making it an ideal alternative to painting concrete.
Available in over 40 low opacity finishes, ImperGuard®Color is ideal for both interior and exterior walls.

1. Transparent pigmented silicate mineral stain
ImperGuard®Colour brings a new aesthetic dimension to concrete. It tints, embellishes and standardizes the appearance of concrete without altering its texture. Much like Guard Industry concrete sealants, ImperGuard® Color uses non-film forming impregnation technology, making the surface permeable to air and water vapour.
2. Water-repellent and hardening effect
ImperGuard® Colour has strong water-repellent properties that provide lasting protection against the penetration of water and thus limits the harmful effects of humidity: infiltration, acid rain, erosion, formation of moss, lichens and the appearance of efflorescence or saltpetre.
ImperGuard® Colour is also ideal for restoring old brittle (dusty) concrete surfaces and other porous materials damaged by water ingress, damp and physical abrasion. It can also be used to protect new (fully cured) concrete surfaces from the above. It hardens the surface of concrete to make it less fragile and less dusty.
Surface Preparation
- Apply the product to a clean, dust-free, grease-free and dry surface.
- To remove traces of efflorescence, laitance or grout film, use Guard Cleaner® Eco Surface Preparation.
- To remove grease stains, use Guard Cleaner® Eco Maintenance.
- Rinse carefully until the surface is free of any trace of cleaner.
Application
- Use the product in its pure form – do not dilute it.
- Shake the package well before use as components separate over time.
- Carry out a preliminary test before us.
- Apply a first coat of ImperGuard® Colour Silicate Stain (usual coverage: 14 to 25 m2/litre).
- Leave to dry 45 min to 1 hour depending on weather.
- Apply a second coat of ImperGuard® Colour Silicate Stain (usual coverage: 14 to 25 m2/litre).
- Apply a third coat if total consumption is not reached.
- Protected drying: 24 hours.
- Optimal performance is achieved after 3 days.

Apply with a wide brush, a foam roller, short or long bristles depending on the texture/nature of the concrete. It is also possible to apply with an HVLP / Airmix / Airless type sprayer.
