ProtectGuard® WF Premium provides the same colour enhancement as a wet surface with the added benefit of protection against oil and water. It is also an ideal solution for restoring old faded pavers, reviving them to their original colour.
The intense “wet look” provided by this paving sealant is permanent. ProtectGuard® WF Premium retains its colour enhancing properties throughout its service life – it will look as good after a couple of years as it does after a week.
ProtectGuard® Wet Finish Premium provides an aesthetically pleasing “wet look” that penetrates the surface without producing a surface film. The non-film forming sealant technology allows the material to breathe – any moisture that makes its way in can evaporate from the surface as water vapour. Furthermore, ProtectGuard® Wet Finish Premium does not alter the slip resistant properties of the surface and cannot peel or yellow over time, making it ideal for pool surrounds and walkways.
Boasting the same protection properties (excluding graffiti) as the natural looking ProtectGuard® HD sealant, ProtectGuard® Wet Finish Premium protects against the main causes of urban degradation, such as atmospheric pollution, greasy soiling, water seepage, acid rain, chewing gum and general dirt and grime. It prevents these contaminants from soaking into the surface and, therefore, prevents permanent staining.
Surface Preparation
- Apply the product to a clean, dust-free, grease-free and dry surface.
- To remove stains and traces of pollution, use Guard Wash® Express.
- To remove traces of efflorescence, laitance or grout film, use Guard Remover® Eco Efflorescence & Cement.
- For low porosity materials, use Guard Cleaner Eco® Surface Preparation prior to application.
Application
- Use the product in its pure form – do not dilute it.
- Shake well before use and perform a preliminary test to check that the product has correctly penetrated and the appearance after drying.
Step 1: Apply
- Apply a thin layer, taking care to correctly apply the product (the application tool does not need to be too soaked, use the product sparingly).
- Do not overload the material; all of the product must penetrate into the surface.
Step 2: Wipe
- After 10 minutes, carefully wipe and polish the treated material with a microfibre, lint-free cloth.
- On large surfaces, work in zones to avoid treading on the product during wiping. Where necessary, apply a further layer to produce an even wet effect.
- Protected drying – 24 hours.
- Optimal efficiency reached after 7 days.
